I have 27 years of experience, and specialize in the field of chemistry with specific knowledge in the areas of organic chemistry, materials chemistry and surface chemistry. I have published on such topics as organic synthesis, antiinfective drug discovery and surface chemistry. Although an academic, I have interacted strongly with industry in the course of my career, culminating in the creation of a spin-out company for the commercialisation of some of our research.
