I have 38 years of experience, and specialize in the field of patent prosecution with specific knowledge in the areas of practice and procedure, patent law and patent rules and regulations. I have published on such topics as patent prosecution, PTO section 101 guidelines and Bilski. Before my Appointment as an Administrative Patent judge I chaired the MPEP Revision Committee, which included over 80 individuals in 18 teams and several special topic subcommittees, which performed a four-year comprehensive, essentially word-by-word rewrite of the MPEP. Twenty eight people received medal awards from the Department of Commerce for their work.
