Semiconductor Fabrication Expert Witness #1154

This expert the Director of the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at major California research university. He is now a part-time Professor in the departments of General Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, teaches courses in the field of Integrated Circuit Processing, and manages the IC Labs. He is well known in Integrated Circuit educational circles for running the National Science Foundation (NSF) Microfabrication Laboratory Workshop, a series of one-week workshops for undergraduate faculty, sponsored by the National Science Foundation on IC laboratory education. In addition, this expert has held over 60 sessions of a three-day laboratory course on microfabrication in the IC Labs entitled the Microfabrication Laboratory Short Course. This short course focuses on wafer manufacturing technology for Integrated Circuits, testing and packaging technology and the chemistry and materials science of wafer fabrication processes. Both Bipolar and MOS technologies are included along with issues related to factory management, microcontamination, yield, and other related topics.
