Michigan Signal Processing Interference Suppression Expert #47889

This University research professor focuses on physical layer issues associated with wireless communications and sensor systems. His prior work has involved theoretical studies, simulation, design and analysis, and the development and use of experimentation/demonstration systems for various PHY layer investigations. Examples include extensive RF systems development and testing at DoD test facilities, prototype development based upon software-defined radio technology, joint development of an FPGA-based implementation of real-time algorithms for WLAN detection in co-channel interference, and the development and demonstration of a dual phased array interference suppression system. He has experience with a number of wireless standards, including WLAN 802.11a/b/g, WiMax, GSM, and 3G (to varying degrees).
